What Is Astral Projection?

Astral projection or astral travel is referred to as being that one can, with practice, project one’s soul, consciousness, or spirit outside of the physical body while maintaining a sleeping state. Astral projection is also know as an out-of-body experience or (OBE).

Think of the body as a vessel or some kind of operable machine and our spirit as the operator of the machine. The act of getting outside of your vessel is astral body projection.

If you are willing to learn astral projection, it requires one to be clear-minded and well rested. Astral projection techniques should not be attempted under the influence of alcohol or drugs nor after a heavy meal.

Now then, you will need to have picked a safe place away from all distractions for it is inconvenient to be disturbed. Casting a circle before beginning astral projection is some peoples preference, however it is not required unless you feel it is necessary for you. You will want to make sure you have at least 15 minutes to dedicate to your journey, but a half hour to an hour is a much better time slot.

You will want to light a candle or at least dim your lights. Using incense has been known to be a great inducer of astral projection. So choose your favorite incense and be sure to use that same scent during each journey session. Using the same scent will help you relax. If you are having difficulty relaxing try finding a tape or book on self-hypnosis to help you along. You will not need a state of deep relaxation to begin astral projection.

If you are always falling asleep during your sessions then the obvious cause is that you are not well rested. Make sure you’ve gotten plenty of rest and try to do astral body projection shortly after waking up in the morning.

If you want to try astral projection and cant find time due to family/roommates, try to practice it in a nice ritual bath using candles, incense, and bath oils and you will be amazed at how much stress will be relieved and how much better you will feel!
