A lucid dream is one where you are “the dreamer within the dream”. You can move objects around in it, and feel as though you are standing on the outside looking in at yourself. The art of lucid dreaming has been taught by great naguals through the ages, especially Carlos Castenada. Castenada’s book shows you the dangerous side of attempting to work with your dreams as well as the positive side. Read “The Art of Dreaming” by Carlos Castenada before attempting to work within your dreamstate. His description of the inorganic beings may be enough for you to just take a sleeping pill and hope you don’t dream at all.

That being said, for centuries gurus and students alike have practiced the art of lucid dreaming to no success. Some dreamers have succeeded and have been able to change the course of their waking life by changing things within their dreams.

Many people don’t believe that they mean anything, but on a soul level they are the compass of your life. Paying close attention to your dreams, keeping a dream journal and learning how to interpret the symbols is tantamount to success. Once you’ve gotten the hang of writing down your dreams, dating them, naming them (as a movie title), listing as much detail as you can – your dreams will take on another level of depth and information to you. It takes some patience and determination, but your life will change and you will be the better for it.

Once you have mastered your own symbols (symbols within a dream mean different things to different people) you will be able to project yourself into your dreams which is lucid dreaming. You may have a dream that was so real you couldn’t shake it upon awakening. That needs to be paid attention to. Some people have recurring dreams or recurring themes in their dreams. Those are called “life changing” dreams, and must be paid attention to. They will continue to reoccur until you have gotten the message your subconscious mind is trying to tell you. When you’ve mastered this, the lucid dreaming can begin!

Many people dream for others and give them their interpretation of the dream. This is the true dream-weaver or what aboriginals refer to as “walking between two worlds”. Sweet dreams!

Flying in a lucid dream is one of the most amazing experiences in the world. There is just something about flying through the air that makes you feel so great! For some people, flying comes very easily, but others are left asking how to fly in a lucid dream. Well I am about to tell you the steps you can take to achieving absolute control while flying. Sit back and enjoy the ride!

There are four common problems people have with flying. They are not getting off the ground, cannot turn, cannot fly very high, and cannot land. I am going to go into each problem one by one to help you.

The first problem was not getting off the ground. Many times this is a result of being unsure if you are really dreaming or not. Run a test or two to make sure you are dreaming. If you still cannot get of the ground, try looking strait up and jumping. Usually, if you cannot see the ground, you will not hit it and stay in the air. Flying is all about having faith in yourself so do not give up!

Next is the inability to turn. If you are going really fast, it can be very difficult to turn at first. Until you learn how to control yourself, it is going to be tough. One way I overcame this is by thinking about controlling yourself with telekinesis. It seems that when Your brain is giving a direct order, it makes the process a lot easier.

Flying height is another problem. When I was first starting to really get into flying, I could not get higher then about 20 feet. I wanted to fly above the clouds and look down on the world! Needless to say, 20 feet was not cutting it. I tried many things but what really helped me was, instead of making myself fly higher, I made the earth move farther away from me. Soon I was far above the clouds and now I can even travel in space! Cool huh!?

The last problem is landing. Landing is one of the most difficult things because it requires the most control. If you hit the ground to hard, you might wake up. What I try to do is hit the ground at an angle were my feet hit first and I slide about 10 to 20 feet before coming to a complete stop. It is very difficult to overcome that feeling of hitting the ground at such high speeds. Keep working on it and it will become natural.

Flying is by no means simple. Flying in a lucid dream requires complete control, and that is something that takes practice to develop. After you have got it down, it is one of the greatest things about lucid dreaming! So keep trying and whatever you do… Don’t look down!

Lots of people want to learn how to have lucid dreams, and it’s not surprising why – when you’re in control of your dreams, you can basically live out any scenario you desire! Whether it’s limitless wealth, a perfect body, that ideal man/woman, or trips to exotic locales or even outer space – you can experience it all, without leaving the comfort of your own bed.

So why doesn’t everyone have lucid dreams?

Well, one reason is that not everyone is aware that it’s possible. But even among those who are, many people try to learn lucid dreaming, but give up because their early attempts prove fruitless. This is a shame, because with the right approach, just about anyone can learn to take control of the dream state.

There are lots of ways to train yourself to have lucid dreams, but most of these are a bit hit and miss. However, there’s one method that’s extremely effective, and that’s brainwave entrainment.

What Is Brainwave Entrainment?

Brainwave entrainment (also called brainwave synchronization) involves exposure to a repeating stimulus of certain frequencies. The most common stimuli are pulses of light or sound, with sound recordings being the most popular and easy to use method. There are three types – binaural beats, monaural beats and isochronic tones, with binaural beats being the most widely used.

As you listen to a brainwave entrainment track, your brain will tend to produce brainwaves that match the frequency of the recording. This is useful because different states of consciousness are associated with brainwaves of different frequencies. When you dream, your brain produces brainwaves that are predominantly in the theta band (5 – 8 Hz). Then as you awaken, you ascend into the alpha band (8 – 12Hz).

Brainwave Entrainment & Lucid Dreaming

In order to have a lucid dream, you need to remain conscious while in the theta state. This is very difficult for most people, and takes a lot of practice and mental discipline to achieve. Most people give up because it takes to long to get results. However, by listening to a good brainwave synchronisation recording that’s designed with lucid dreaming in mind, it becomes easier to stay aware of what’s going on as you enter the theta state and begin dreaming – the recording helps to keep your brain in the correct state, so you don’t have to do all the hard work yourself.

Of course it’ll probably take some practice before you’re consistently getting the results you want (although there are some who become lucid the first time they try brainwave entrainment), but most people who try it find that lucid dreaming is easier with brain wave entrainment than without.

So if you want to experience the thrill of living out your perfect life every night, it’s worth giving this great technology a try!

If you decide to use brainwave synchronisation to learn lucid dreaming, make sure you get a top quality recording to avoid wasting your time. I recommend the ‘Lucid Dreaming’ recording from The Unexplainable Store, which is fully guaranteed, and available for immediate download. You can also get some free sample tracks to try – find out more at http://www.brain-sync.com.

Was I Lucid Dreaming?

Well, in my dream, i somehow realized that i was dreaming. So, when i saw someone i didn't want to see, i closed my eyes and imagined them. Then when i imagined them in my head visually, i made a X through them in my head and when i looked, they started to disappear. And i also remembered to stay calm. I didn't need any practice, it just somehow came. Did i Lucid Sleep?

Lucid Dreaming- Dream Journals?

Is it okay to change dream journals? Or does your brain get used to the appearance of it to trigger lucidity better?

Please, no stupid comments
~Thanks

Lucid dreaming simply means that while dreaming you’re aware that you’re doing so. You feel “awake” in your dreams and with practice you can learn to control them. Dreams have no limits. You can travel to other countries, talk with historical figures or your spirit guides, and do things you can’t in your waking life. (I always choose to fly in my lucid dreams.

Like any skill, it takes time, effort, determination, trial and error to perfect lucid dreaming, but following these steps can help you.

Getting Yourself Ready For Lucid Dreaming:

1. Get into the habit of recalling your dreams. Before falling asleep tell yourself, “I’ll remember my dreams with complete clarity when I wake up.” The following morning or as soon as you awake from a dream write down everything you can remember. You don’t have to go into deep detail unless you want to, but a basic outline of the dream will help you to recall it in detail later when you go over your notes. This exercise strengthens your dream recall “muscles.”

2. Once you’ve gotten into the habit of writing down your dreams and are better at recalling them, you can begin inducing lucid dreaming. The best way to do this is to give yourself a cue before you fall asleep. For example tell yourself, “When I’m dreaming and see my hand (or a big red button, or the fact that I’m flying) I’ll know I’m dreaming and be able to control it.” At first you may find that simply knowing your dreaming is enough to jolt you awake, but in time you’ll get used to this and controlling your dreams will be much easier. Don’t give up!

Controlling Your Dreams:

1. Whenever you realize you’re dreaming you can then start controlling it. Do something simple such as changing a small item in your dream environment. One time I turned a garbage can into a fire hydrant. Not high-tech stuff, but it was a start!

2. To become really good at dream control you must believe you can control your dreams and that whatever you want to experience is possible. Start out small and work your way up to more challenging activities. (And, to answer anyone who’s curious; yes, you can bring Johnny Depp or Jessica Simpson into a dream!

How you can use lucid dreaming to solve problems:

1. Once you get into the habit of lucid dreaming, feel free to call upon your angel, spirit guide, or a loved one who has crossed over. Talk with them about something that’s bothering you, or ask a question you’d like them to help you solve. See what guidance or answers come up and write down any information you received in your notebook.

2. Sometimes you may get something odd. For instance, I asked my guide a question and was shown a turtle. When I woke up I thought about the symbol and realized my guide was telling me to slow down. “Slow and steady wins the race.” Many times what seems like something completely weird or nonsensical is really wisdom at it’s most basic!

Lucid dreaming can be used for many things besides problem solving. You can recover from past traumas, develop skills, work on self-esteem issues, travel the world, party with your favorite celebrities, talk with deceased loved ones, and so much more. Being able to solve problems while you sleep is one of the most fascinating reasons to practice this exercise. Lucid dreaming is a powerful way to tap into your subconscious and get it to work for you!

“I am a millionaire”, “I am a millionaire” ….. “I am a millionaire”,

Have you ever tried doing affirmations and felt like a dumbass, like you don’t really mean what you say? Well, that’s probably because you don’t really know how it feels like to be a millionaire. You are just guessing… It would be really easier if you had the specifics, if you had made a million in the past and you were just remembering how that felt like.

What if you had a dream in which you made a million dollars and you remembered the whole thing?

Your mind doesn’t know the difference between a dream memory and a normal memory, so when you access a memory from a dream you get the same feelings you get from accessing normal walking-life memory.

Also, when you are dreaming, the part of the brain that controls the intensity of emotions is actually not working which forces you to feel them more deeply. This means that the whole millionaire experience will be more intense.

So, the next time you say “I am a millionaire” and think about the memory from the dream it will no longer feel that alien, because you are no longer lying and you have the specifics. Whalaa! your mind no longer resist your affirmations.

But how can you have that millionaire – dream?

Have you ever had a dream in which you knew that you were dreaming and you did all those crazy fun stuff? Well there is a way you can learn how to have this type of dreams intentionally and use them for more than just fun (sex)

The skill is called lucid dreaming. And you can find more about it here : lucid dreaming guide.

For those unfamiliar with the term, I have good news; Lucid Dreaming is actually a pretty simple concept. A Lucid Dream is a dram in which you are.

After working "lucid dreaming" and eventually sending the line, it was very hard for me to come up with an idea of its difficulty. The climb is very different from "the game" and requires much different strengths to complete. …

Do You Want To Be A Lucid Dreamer?

This method was developed by top lucid dreaming researcher Dr. Stephen LaBerge. The idea is to affirm to yourself that you will remember something when you see it in a dream ? then when you do, you will realize that you are dreaming and …

Have you ever found yourself in the midst of a very interesting dream and suddenly realized that you were dreaming? The realization must occur during the dream, not when you wake up. If you have, then you were experiencing a lucid dream.

We all get lucid dreams now and then, but they are rare treats. When they occur, they are the most enjoyable experiences. The great news is that you can have lucid dreams at will. By religiously practicing a few techniques, you can enjoy lucid dreaming whenever you wish. And once you know you are dreaming, you can transform the dream, create your own dream, or passively continue with the same dream that you are having.

What can you do in your lucid dreams?

What you can do in your lucid dream depends on you and your imagination. You can do whatever you wish! Want to become a great speaker or explore the depths of the sea or study for a test? You can do this and more!

Here is a list of some things lucid dreamers do.

·	Satisfy sexual fantasies

·	Visit space and fly through the stars

·	Create different dream worlds

·	Meet and converse with deceased people, guardian angels, spirit guides, pets, and so on

·	Travel to other countries

·	Travel back or forth in time

Would you like to induce a lucid dream? Here are some of the techniques that have worked fine for some experienced lucid dreamers.

·	Study your sleep patterns. Once you are well versed with your own sleep patterns, either go to sleep a few hours before your usual time or wake up later.

·	Change your sleeping place. For example, if you usually sleep on the bed, try the couch or the sofa.

·	Go to sleep on your back.

·	Before falling asleep, determine what sort of dream you would like to have.

·	Should you wake up without having a lucid dream, don’t be disappointed. Just go back to sleep and try having a lucid dream once again. Usually, people have lucid dreams shortly after going to bed or shortly before getting up.

Never give up for any reason. This is very important. Be persistent and practice till you get it. The secret to getting a great lucid dream is to try and try and try till you succeed in getting one. Soon, you will find yourself having great fun, doing whatever you like, in your lucid dreams.

Lucid dreaming is an excellent way to improve your performance in virtually any skill or task. From practicing martial arts high-kicks to mastering tricky phrases in another language, lucid dreaming offers the perfect environment to hone your skills.

The applications of lucid dreaming are virtually unlimited. From acquiring another language to enhancing physical performance and from practicing speeches in front of live audiences to developing extreme social confidence, if you can imagine it then you can practice it in the world of dreams.

Here are FIVE STEPS you can use to turn ordinary dreams into powerful learning experiences:

1. Before falling asleep for the night, spend some time studying the skill you want to learn. This could be anything from practicing your speech in the mirror, to watching YouTube videos on the dance move you want to perform, to reading about a technical procedure for work. The key is to focus on a specific goal. In other words, don’t read an entire book but spend 15-30 minutes to really understand a certain chapter or key point.

2. When you crawl into bed, visualize yourself performing your task. The goal is to imagine yourself applying the information you just gathered in a successful way. If you can, try to feel confident and excited as you see yourself accomplishing your desired end.

3. As you begin falling asleep, relax your mental control and allow your mind to drift. You may find yourself giving a speech to a room of chimpanzees or dancing under the sea. Just go with it. By now, you have already imprinted your goal into the subconscious mind. Your task now is falling asleep – not micromanaging your thoughts.

4. Depending on your level of skill, you may find that you do not dream about what you intended or, if you did, you may not remember the dream. That’s ok. The important thing is that you invest time organizing your thoughts in a positive way. As you become better at lucid dreaming and other relevant skills, you will see more and more benefit from this exercise.

5. When you wake up in the morning, allow yourself to drift in and out of sleep. This allows you to focus briefly on your desired result, whether an elegant speech or graceful dance moves. As you slip in and out of consciousness, you will be more likely to dream about your skill. You may continue to drift as long as you like, although you may experience a slight headache or dizziness if you linger for hours at a time. Learning to lucid dream provides you with great learning opportunities.

What is lucid dreaming like? how realistic is it?

I really want to learn how to lucid dream, but thats not what this question is about, i have plenty of info about how to. what i want to know is from someone who has lucid dreams regularly, what is it like?
- is it clear? or kind of blurry like in a real dream?
- if you look at your hands, do they appear clear or just the rough shape of hands? or anywhere in between
- from when you first started trying to lucid dream how long did it take you? what site/techniques did you use?
-can you remember them well the next day and is it as if you experience it then are remembering it later or as if they are just memories that you cannot remember experienceing?

i think i had one once. i was being chased and then i stopped and thought wait im dreaming, then i put my arm out and got bit by this thing and woke up? is this a proper lucid dream?

thanks, and i know i asked a lot but please just answer whatever you can.

What is the best way to have a LUCID DREAM if u r 14 years old?

I NEED AN ANSWER BADLY!!!

Lucid dreaming can also be termed as conscious dreaming. As the name suggests, it is a process in which the dreamer is conscious or awake or alert to the fact that he/she is within a dream. Some lucid dreamers also find that they can control the events of their dreams. The delightful fact about lucid dreaming is that anybody can learn to it. In fact, we all do it once in a while, and we can learn to do it whenever we wish once we have developed the right set of skills.

Follow these simple steps to start lucid dreaming, and you will soon find yourself enjoying lucid dreams at will.

1. Find out the best time for a lucid dream.

To find this out, you ought to be familiar with your sleeping patterns. Study your sleeping habits-how long you take to have one dream, how long you sleep, and so on and so forth. Make a note of the time you go to sleep and the time you wake up.

Normally, people have lucid dreams during the REM stage of sleep-a phase you experience just before you wake up. Here is a simple way to catch yourself in the REM stage. Wake up a few hours earlier than your normal waking time. Stay awake for ninety minutes, and then get back into bed. You should soon find yourself in the REM stage, having a lucid dream.

2. Decide that you will lucid dream.

When you do this, you are actually following a lucid dreaming induction method called Mnemonic Induced Lucid Dreaming (MILD). Just as you are drifting off to sleep, tell yourself firmly that you will have lucid dreams and focus on it. Keep telling yourself that you will start lucid dreaming. By doing so, you train your brain to alert you whenever you are having the next dream. The minute awareness sets in, the dream becomes lucid.

3. Remember your dreams

To facilitate dream recall, maintain a dream journal. As soon as you wake up, make a note of your dreams. The very practice of trying to recall dreams every day trains your brain that it ought to remember the details of your dreams. Your mind will learn to be alert to dreams, and this enhances your ability to recall your dreams.

Moreover, remembering dreams takes you closer to them and familiarizes you with them. You soon learn to identify recurring themes, patterns, symbols, and people in your dreams. Next time you dream about them, you will be able to easily become aware that you are in a dream, and this awareness will turn the dream lucid.

4. Conduct reality checks regularly.

Keep asking yourself throughout the day whether you are dreaming or awake. Become aware of your surroundings, understand your situation, and make a conscious decision whether you are sleeping or awake. Make sure you ask yourself this question whenever you come across the situations, people, places, and things that feature in your dreams. The brain will soon get used to this activity, and alert you whenever you are dreaming.

These simple steps should help you have the lucid dream you long for. Don’t despair if it seems to take longer than usual. Lucid dreaming isn’t an art that is learned overnight. It takes time, and the very process of learning lucid dreaming is delightful and educative in itself.

Hey Readers! I’ve been comin across some crazy stuff the past few days from a few different blogs around the web which I just had to share with you. Check em out below…

Lucid Dreams Highlights

Details such as appearing like you are a fashion model instead of overweight, or having a talent that you don't are ambitions that are being played out in lucid dreaming where you are in control of the content. …

Lucid Dreaming

I'm not talking about a science fiction movie- what I'm describing is lucid dreaming. When you have a lucid, or “aware” dream, you begin to not only realize you are dreaming, but you realize that you can move around and consciously do …

Experiencing Conscious Dreaming

Perhaps more commonly known as lucid dreaming, conscious dreaming includes the ability to realize that you are dreaming while you are doing so and the ability to take control of your dreams, dictating the happenings. …
